<p>PURPOSE: To provide a simple and effective method which allows the composite page description language(PDL) translation ability within an image system server. CONSTITUTION: A 1st job written in a 1st PDL is transferred to a 2nd processor 72, a flag of the processor 72 is set at a 1st status, and the 1st PDL is translated into a 1st translation output by a 1st memory map 78-1. A 2nd job is transferred to a 1st processor 74, the flag of the processor 72 is set at a 2nd status, and the flag of the processor 72 is checked. The part of a 1st memory map is switched E that of a 2nd memory map by the processor 74 in response to the change of the flag system so that the 1st memory part is processed at a memory part 86 and the 2nd memory part is processed at the processor 72 for translation of a 2nd PDL into a 2nd translation output.</p> |
