<p>PURPOSE: To make an integrated laser device for releasing a stabilized optical power at a constant level by a method wherein, when a power output of a laser is changed for the duration of pulses, a current which is released to the laser is adjusted by a feedback from transistors. CONSTITUTION: A current which has been pulsed is supplied to a laser 124 by a laser driver 122, thereby turning on the laser to release a required optical output. All currents supplied to an integrated structure by the drive 122 are obtained by adding a current 128, supplied to the laser 124 to a current 130 supplied to a transistor 126. The laser 124 is coupled optically to the transistor 126 by an optical output 132. Accordingly, when a laser output is changed as a time elapse attributable to an increase in a surrounding temperature and self-heating, a part of a driver current supplied to the laser is adjusted by electrical feedback from a transistor, thereby holding the output level constant.</p> |
