PURPOSE: To continuously constitute a short sentence of syllabic characters or ideographic characters to be printed on a visiting card or the like. CONSTITUTION: A keyboard 2 consists of keys of syllabic characters or ideographic characters, and a control means 5 is provided with a function which combines corresponding syllabic characters of a selected language with an inputted alphabetic character array, a function which displays these syllabic characters on a display means 3 after selection of a first set of types, a function which combines corresponding display characters with the syllabic character or ideographic character array and displays these display characters, a function which validates the syllabic character or ideographic character array, a function which selects a second set of types for print, and a function which outputs a print command to a print means 6, and a character corresponding to the output signal from a touch switch 20 is compared with a series of syllabic characters or ideographic characters stored in a library, and a standard code of this character is supplied to the display means 3 and is displayed, and a validated syllabic character or ideographic character is supplied to the control means 5 for the purpose of printing the character. |
