PURPOSE:To sufficiently cope with even the standard requiring a high speed operation in an MPEG(Moving Picture Expert Group) or the like by writing-in/ reading-out image information with a block unit at a high speed. CONSTITUTION:An image storage division 10 is composed of either memory arrays MA1 to MA8 connected in parallel. Each memory is so arranged that the write-in/read-out of the image information are performed respectively in the control of a write-in address generation circuit 12, a memory array control logic 14 and a read-out address generation circuit 16. Input/output terminals of the memory arrays MA1 to MA8 are connected to a half-pel arithmetic circuit 24 via eight data registers DREG1 to DREG8, eight row selector YSEL1 to YSEL8 in an input/output buffer 18, column selectors XSELs and a data bus 22. |
