PURPOSE: To provide an electroglottograph driving controller for an MIDI compatible electronic music synthesizer by converting the opening/closing cycles of vocal cords to electric signals especially accurate for a pitch. CONSTITUTION: A voice control music device is driven by an electroglottograph(EGG) 16 as input to this controller and it is provided with a band-like transducer attached to the neck of a user. The EGG 16 converts the opening/closing cycles of the true vocal cords of the user into the electric signals especially accurate for the pitch. The output of a microphone 15 integrated with a bond picks up the acoustic expansion of a throat wall simultaneously with a glottis cycle, the output is also added to the controller and the volume of a voice source is displayed. EGG and microphone signals are coupled and converted into MIDI digital codes usable for driving a music synthesizer and a computer 28.
