PURPOSE:To provide the liquid crystal panel unit which suppresses the temp. rise of a liquid crystal panel as far as possible by reflecting the unnecessary light of the light entering from a light source before the light passes glass substrates. CONSTITUTION:This liquid crystal panel unit is constituted by disposing thin-film transistors (TFRs) 26 and pixel electrodess 27 on the inward facing surface of the one glass substrate 25a of two sheets of the glass substrates 25 disposed to face each other, disposing a counter electrode 29 and light shielding films 30 for shielding the incident light on the TFTs 26 on the inward facing surface of the other glass substrate 25b, and sealing a liquid crystal material 28 between the two glass substrates 25 and 25. Light reflection films 23 consisting of, for example, aluminum materials are formed in the same patter as the patterns of the light shielding films 30 on the outward facing surface of the other glass substrate 25a. |
