PURPOSE:To improve a photoelectric conversion efficiency, by making a photoconductive layer contain a hydrazone based compound expressed by a specific chemical formula as its charge transporting. CONSTITUTION:A charge transporting dye is a hydrazone based compound expressed by a chemical formula I, and is excellent in its hole carrying capability. At this point, in the formula I, each one of R<1>, R<2>, R<3>, R<4>, It and R<6> is identical with others or different from others, and indicates hydrogen atom, an alkyl, alkoxyl, aralkyl or allyl group. Every one of the alkyl, alkoxyl, aralkyl and allyl groups has a substituent allowably. Also, each one of Ar<1>, Ar<2>, Ar<3>, Ar<4>, Ar<5> and Ar<6> is identical with others or different from others, and indicates hydrogen atom, an alkyl, allyl, aralkyl or heterocyclic group. Every one of the alkyl, allyl, aralkyl and heterocyclic groups has a substituent allowably. The values of l, m and n are 0 or 1 respectively, but Ar<1>, Ar<2>, Ar<3>, Ar<4>, Ar<5> and Ar<6> can not be hydrogen atom at the same time. |
