PURPOSE: To provide the method of manufacturing a surface mountable tantalum capacitor having a high capacitance for cubic volume, a small foot print and shock resisting property. CONSTITUTION: Tantalum powder is filled in a tubular tantalum container 10, sintered and a coupling is formed between the powder and between the powder and the container. Subsequently, a dielectric coating and a counter electrode coating are formed. An anode terminal 26 is fixed to the outside surface of the container, and a cathode terminal 25 is fixed to a part of the counter electrode which is exposed through the aperture of the container. |
