PURPOSE:To properly give an automobile crew a speech guidance regarding a specific position on a set travel course of the automobile regardless of whether the importance of the specific point is large or small. CONSTITUTION:On the basis of current position data from a current position detection part 11, map data from a map data storage memory 16, and course data from a course setting part 17, a rank corresponding to importance is set for an intersection in the set travel course, and the speech output mode of a speaker 23 which performs the speech guidance based upon the content of guidance sentence data form a guidance sentence generation part 19 or the guidance sentence data is controlled by a spot rank setting part 20 corresponding to the set rank. |
