PURPOSE:To obtain an error detection result commensurate with a user's request, and to contribute to improvement of the efficiency of a sentence improving work. CONSTITUTION:In an improvement dictionary 11 and an error detecting part 14, information for showing a degree of possibility of an error related to various errata and erroneous grammar is held. A user designates the degree of possibility of its error in accordance with his own convenience, while referring to a display of a display part 8 with the help of a man-machine interface part 18. As a result, in a morpheme analyzing part 9 and a dictionary consulting part 10, an erratum having possibility of an error corresponding to its designated degree of error possibility is detected, and in the same way, by a sequence expanding part 12, a syntax analysis control part 13, an error detecting part 14 and a syntax analyzing part 15, an erroneous character-string is detected in accordance with the designated degree of error possibility. Those error detection results are monitored on the display part 8 by editing of the man-machine interface 18. The user can executed an improving work by looking at its indication. |
