PURPOSE:To show how an image is synthesized when it is synthesized or edited and to what extent the quality of the image can be expanded, etc., by using a means capable of recognizing the size and the aspect ratio of each candidate image at a stage where blousing display at the initial stage of retrieval is performed. CONSTITUTION:The number or size of display is inputted from a terminal 15 as the retrieval condition of the image. Image data is read out from an image accumulation device 13. After that, the number or size of display of an inputted image and lateral size Dx and longitudinal size Dy when the image data read out from the lateral size Mx and longitudinal size My of a display device 11 are displayed are calculated. Assuming the lateral size of a read out original image as Sx and the longitudinal size as Sy, the original image is displayed by applying enlargement/reduction by Dx/Sx when it is Dx/Sx<=Dy/ Sy, and by Dy/Sy in other case. Sx, Sy, Mx, and My and an area ratio are displayed so as to confirm displayed image size. |
