PURPOSE:To provide the optical transmitter which suppresses the variance in duty of an optical output waveform. CONSTITUTION:The optical transmitter having a differential pair which has two transistors TRs 300 and 400 and outputs an optical signal from a first light emitting element 100 connected to the collector of one TR 400, a first photoelectric transducer 200 which converts a part of the output of the first light emitting element 100 into an electric signal, and an output control part 700 which performs the control to keep the optical output power of the first light emitting element 100 fixed is provided with a second light emitting element 900 which is connected to the collector of the other TR 300 and is operated reversely to the first light emitting element 100, a second photoelectric transducer 120 which converts a part of the output light of the second light emitting element 900 to an electric signal, and a duty control part 110 which performs the control to fix a ratio of outputs of first and second photoelectric transducers 200 and 120, thus suppressing the variance in duty of the optical signal output of the first light emitting element 100. |
