PURPOSE:To lead a candidate of a correct character from a left-hand radical, a right-hand radical, etc., of a KANJI (Chinese character) being correct partially in the case there is no correct character in a recognition candidate character of a character recognition program. CONSTITUTION:The system is provided with a first KANJI dictionary 6 for leading a BUSHU (a common part which becomes a mark for looking for a character) from a KANJI and a second KANJI dictionary 7 for leading a KANJI from a BUSHU. In the case there is no correct KANJI in a recognition candidate character, when an operator selects a KANJI being correct partially in the recognition candidate character and executes a BUSHU calling operation, a left-hand radical, a right-hand radical, etc., of this KANJI are displayed by retrieving a first KANJI dictionary. When a correct BUSHU is selected, and a KANJI calling operation is executed, a KANJI having this BUSHU is displayed by retrieving a second KANJI dictionary, and from in this candidate, the operator selects a correct KANJI. |
