PURPOSE:To retrieve only a word requiring retrieval and to provide an efficient dictionary retrieving function by designating a retrieval-unnecessary word clearly for a user concerning a judge reference for showing whether dictionary retrieval is performed or not, or designating the level of the retrieval-unnecessary word by the fields of an object at the automatic dictionary retrieving device for providing the automatic dictionary retrieving function used for decoding a document. CONSTITUTION:This device is provided with a document memory 31 for storing the document, area designating device 32 for designating the dictionary retrieving area in the document, morpheme analyzer 33 for recognizing the original form of a word in the designated area, dictionary retrieval judging device 34 for judging the necessity of retrieval in the case of automatically retrieving the dictionary concerning the word in the document, retrieval-unnecessary word storage device 35 for the user to successively add/correct the word not to be retrieved, and retrieval-unnecessary word designating device 36 by fields. Thus, the judge reference of dictionary retrieval can be applied to every user. |
