PURPOSE:To produce a high-precision black-matrix substrate avow cost and with high throughput by transferring a substance electrodeposited on the conductive surface of a printing plate on a light-shielding film as the corrosion-resistant material. CONSTITUTION:A substrate to be plated for incorporating a hydrophilic resin is applied on a transparent substrate 13 to form a layer 7 to be plated. The layer is brought into contact with an aq. metallic compd. soln. as a catalyst in electroless plating and heat-treated to form a layer 7' to be plated contg. the catalyst, hence the metallic grains are dispersed in the layer to form a light-shielding film 8, and an adhesive or tacky coating film 9 is further formed thereon. A printing plate 2 electro coated with a substance 6 is brought into contact with the coating film 9 to transfer the substance 6 to the specified position on the coating film 9. The coating film 9 is etched off with the transferred substance 6 as the corrosion-resistant material, the light-shielding film 8 is etched off by aq. alkali, the substance 6 is then released, and a black matrix 14 is formed. |
