PURPOSE:To reduce the outflow of electrolyte in an electrolytic plate, suppress an increase in internal resistance accompanying the outflow and the generation of gas crossover, and extend life by using a porous body containing lithium aluminate particles having a determined particle size. CONSTITUTION:An electrolytic plate 13 formed of an electrolyte containing a mixed alkali carbonate, and a porous body containing a holding member impregnated with the electrolyte and a reinforcing material is used. As the porous body, a one containing lithium aluminate particles having particle sizes less than 1.0mum represented by the formula; Li1-xAl1+x/3O2 (wherein x is 0.076<=x<=0.24) is used. Thus, the outflow of the electrolyte (electrolytic loss) in the plate 13 at operation is reduced, and an increase in internal resistance of the plate 13 accompanying the electrolytic loss and the generation of gas crossover can be suppressed. Thus, a long-time operation can be performed, and the life can be extended. |
