PURPOSE:To enhance the sensing accuracy of the battery discharged amount by sensing the discharging amperage of the battery, determining the rate of discharge time in accordance with the discharge amperage, and determining the dischargeed amount of battery from the rate of discharge time and the discharging time. CONSTITUTION:When a key switch 15 is turned on, a constant voltage power supply 16 is actuated to supply power to a microcomputer 17, and a processing is started in accordance with the program stored in a ROM 18 in advance. A battery current computing process calculates the battery current from the product of the armature amperage, which is sensed by a current sensor 4 and obtained through an input circuit 26, and the chopper current feed rate determined through the running motor control process. Unless the battery current is zero, a count value is decided in accordance with the size of the battery current according to the count setting function. This count value is added or subtracted in accordance with the discharge time, and the discharged amount of the battery 1 is determined from the calculation obtained thereby. Further, the residual capacity computing process takes place when the calculation reaches the specified value. |
