PURPOSE:To reduce a load applied to a cleaning device cleaning an image carrier by transferring all toner images formed on the image carrier on an intermediate transfer body, even when a failure in the supply of a recording medium occurs as well. CONSTITUTION:A photosensitive drum 101 and the intermediate transfer body 102 and transfer body 102 and a pressure roller 103 are supported so as to contact/uncontact each other, respectively. When the failure in the supply of a transfer paper 120 to a secondary transfer part B occurs at the time of secondarily transferring the toner image on the intermediate transfer body 102 onto the transfer paper 120, all toner images formed on the photosensitive drum 101 are transferred on the intermediate transfer body 102 and then, an image forming device is stopped. At this time, even if a CPU judges the occurrence of the jamming of the transfer paper 120 in the region of a resist roller 115, the toner image is formed on the photosensitive drum 101 to the end without interrupting an image forming action and primarily transferred on the intermediate transfer body 102 and then, the image forming device is stopped. |
