PURPOSE:To provide the circulation type paper money handling device which can pay clean paper money preferentially. CONSTITUTION:When a discrimination part 2 discriminates paper money stored in a temporary stacker 11 from a money reception/payment opening 1 or paper money in a loading cassette 10 and the paper money is stored in a recycle boxes(RB) 4 or 5 for 10,000 yen or an RB 6 for 1,000 yen, the discrimination part 2 discriminates the kind and damage level of the money and stores the money in the RB 4 by controlling a gate 7 when the money kind is 10,000 and the damage level is high, in the RB 5 by controlling a gate 8 when the damage level is intermediate, or in a rejection box(RJB) 3 when the damage level is low. When the money kind is 1,000 yen and the damage level is high or intermediate, the money is stored in the RB 6 by controlling a gate 9 and when the damage level is low, the money is stored in the RJB 3. When 10,000 yen paper money is paid, the RB 4 wherein clean paper money is stored is preferentially specified and the clean paper money is paid to a customer. |
