PURPOSE:To efficiently control a synchronous motor at a high power factor without torque pulsation. CONSTITUTION:The target values of armature currents corresponding to windings 21-2n in a synchronous motor, is calculated as the function of an amount in inverse proportion to the sum of the squeares of instantaneous values e01-e0n of the induced voltage in every phase and an amount in proportion to the instantaneous values e01-e0n of the induced voltage in every phase using an arithmetic unit 4. Then the armature currents (actual value) detected by current controllers 51-5n through current transformers, is controlled so that they are equal to the current target values. This enables the efficient control which produces a high power factor and is free from torque pulsation. |
