Cable sleeve end holder - has housing which engages with partition and tube attached to sleeve which is connected to housing by ball joint

The holder consists of a housing (1) which is fixed to the partition (2), and a tube (3) which connects with the cable sleeve (4). The tube is fixed to the sleeve and is connected to the housing by a ball joint (7a,b;8a,b). The connecting tube has a plastics one-piece structure and acts both as a connector for the sleeve and as a guide for the sleeve end. The housing is connected to the partition by a push-fit which engages two diametrically-opposite catches (12a,12b) with the partition's inner surface. The housing can contain an elastic element (14) between the components of the ball joint to act as a damper. USE/ADVANTAGE - E.g. for vehicle clutch cable passing through bulkhead partition. Reduced number of components and less risk of corrosion.
