PURPOSE:To prevent the malfunction, the illegal use and the like of a reader writer and a network by a method wherein a setting change by an outsider is made difficult without increasing the time required for the setting change of the function of the reader writer device. CONSTITUTION:The title system is composed of a reader writer device 1 and a system card 2. The reader writer device 1 is provided with a read/write part 11 which reads/writes data to and from a magnetic card, with a control part which performs a prescribed data processing function and a prescribed operating control function and with a storage part 13 which has stored software setting the data processing function and the operating control function by the control part. The control part is provided with a card judgment means 21 which discriminates an ordinary magnetic card from the system card 2 and with a storage means 25 by which data recorded on the system card 2 is stored in the storage part 13 in a prescribed case. The system card 2 magnetically records the software which sets the data processing function and the operating control function by the control part in the reader writer device 1. |
