PURPOSE:To more properly determine the color irregularity of a CCD image sensor. CONSTITUTION:Color image data from the CCD sensor are converted to hue image data, saturation image data and lightness image data by an RGB/hue, saturation and lightness conversion part 101 and respectively stored in a hue image memory 102, saturation image memory 103 and lightness image memory 104. A color selection circuit 105 prepares binary hue image data for which the saturation at an image position is '1' higher than a prescribed value. The respective hue image data are inputted to a time space pulse generator 1, a two-dimensional pulse signal is inputted to a first-order motion detection part 2 by mutually connecting autonomous classification cells, a longitudinal line, lateral line and oblique line are detected from the motion of respective pulses, and the motion of each line is detected by a second-order motion detection part 3. The detected motion of the high saturation in each component is outputted from a threshold value processing part 107 as a numerical line component. The color nonuniformity and numerical line component determining the image data from the memories 102-104 at a color irregularity determining device 108 due to statistical processing while using the statistical characters are added by a merging means 109 and outputted as the quantative color irregularity. |
