PURPOSE:To facilitate the gas passing of a separator and mechanically solidify the separator by providing a gas passing groove for supplying a reaction gas of fuel gas or oxidizing agent gas on the separator, and circularly forming its section. CONSTITUTION:A solid polymer electrolytic fuel cell is provided with a solid polymer electrolytic film, electrodes, and a separator. In the solid polymer electrolytic film, the electrodes are closely adhered to and arranged on the two main surfaces, and the separator supports the solid polymer electrolytic film having the electrodes arranged thereon. The solid polymer electric film contains water so that protons are diffused in the film. The separator has a gas passing groove for supplying fuel gas or oxidizing agent gas, and the gas passing groove has a circular sectional form. For example, the gas passing groove has a width of 2.00mm and a depth of 0.8mm, the separator has a thickness of 1.8mm, and the section of the gas passing groove is circularly formed. Thus, liquefied water is not stayed in the gas passing groove to quickly pass the reaction gas, the mechanical strength of the separator is also improved, never causing cracking, and the characteristic and reliability can be improved. |
