PURPOSE:To provide a single-element type reception circuit using a light emitting element as a photodetector which can reduce a dark current of the light emitting element by lowering a backward bias voltage to be applied on the light emitting element. CONSTITUTION:In a reception circuit connecting in series a light emitting element 1 and a preamplifier 4 so that a backward bias is impressed thereto, a diode 2 is provided between the light emitting element 1 and the preamplifier 4. Thereby, arrangement of the diode 2 between the light emitting element 1 and the preamplifier 4 causes a backward bias voltage impressed to the light emitting diode 1 to be lowered to attain prevention of deterioration in the reception sensitivity due to a dark current. Accordingly, the single-element type reception circuit can effectively used even in the light emitting element which results in a large dark current. |
