Curing or preventing AIDS or mad cow disease - using L-tryptophan, indole, 3-indolyl:acetic acid or indomethacin to increase indole levels

Prepn. of a medicament for curing and preventing immunodeficiency disease (AIDS), mad cow disease (BSE) and other infections (other than infections with putrefactor causing diarrhoea) involves use of L-tryptophan, indole, 3-indolylacetic acid or indomethacin as active agent, to increase the indole content of the organism. ADVANTAGE - Increasing the indole levels provides longer and closer contact between indole molecules and pathogens in the vascular system, so that indole can kill the pathogens by attacking their proteins.
