The applicator to deliver a time-controlled amount of glue under pressure has a housing (10) common to both closing positions in the housing assembly. An inner chamber holds the valve spindle (17). The connection for the glue feed (30) is between the closing positions (28-27'; 24-27), seen axially. The closing positions (28-27'; 24-27) are formed by sealing bodies (27,27') at both ends of the valve spindle (17) and ring-shaped sealing seatings (24,28) in the housing at an axial gap from them, working together for a sealing action. The sealing bodies (27,27') have spherical surfaces. USE/ADVANTAGE - The applicator is for the application of a line of glue to a substrate passing by the applicator jet, at defined points and in defined lengths. The housing assembly is compact and easily produced with simple mounting at a glue application station.
