In addition to the keyboard the mobile telephone has a display panel and possibly an operating part with integrated transceiver in the handset. The extra cell diverting key is combined with a text indication in the display. Its actuation disconnects an incoming call, which is not intended to be answered. The disconnection operates in case of programmed rejection and, on its application, the call diverting takes place. Pref. a further reply key is combined with the indication on the display to prompt the user for its actuation on an incoming call. The display may also contain a dynamic call signalling.
