The chassis for an amphibious vehicle comprises a central housing (24) to receive a power unit, delimited by steel sheet front and rear cross-members (75,76) connected rigidly to forward (77) and rear (78) lengthwise members with positions (79) for seats on either side.The cross-members at the front and rear of the power unit housing have their ends linked by lateral lengthwise members (80a,80b). The chassis also has a front cross-member (83) fixed to the front end of the forward lengthwise member, and a rear cross-member (84) fixed to the rear end of the rear lengthwise member, all made from folded steel sheet with holes.
