摘要 In the medical imaging arrangement, an energy window is divided into upper (AH) and lower (AL) sub-windows. Two scintillation images are produced from scintillation products with energies in the lower and upper windows respectively. The frequency of stray events in the lower window is essentially greater than in the upper window. A stray image is produced only from the positive values of the difference between the fist and second scintillation images. A summation image is produced from their sum and a compensated image free from stray components is formed from the difference between the summation and stray images. USE/ADVANTAGE - For substantially compensating stray components of scintillation images caused by stray events without requiring calibration.
