Pipette for withdrawing and dispensing adjustable volumes of liquids, including a pipette body (10, 20) and a plunger (40) fitted so as to move inside the said pipette body to define a chamber of variable volume (22). The plunger (40) is driven over a distance which is limited in one direction by means of a pressure applied manually to a thrust rod (50) and in reverse direction by reaction of resilient return means (43, 44) until it abuts against an axial end (61) of a metal barrel (60) interacting by screwing with an internal threading (68) of the pipette body. In the invention the thrust rod (50) has an unsymmetrical section of revolution and the barrel (60) is integrally attached to a liner (110) which has an internal section with a complementary profile so as to lock the thrust rod (50) and the barrel (60) in rotation, with a view to a fast adjustment of the volume to be dispensed. <IMAGE>
