PURPOSE: To prevent arrangement pitch error in a contact and the short-circuit of the contact due to external force by mounting a given restricting member between both side walls extended the length of a tale portion to cross the tale portion in a longitudinally movable manner. CONSTITUTION: A housing 10 has a restricting member 21 mounted between both side walls 16. The restricting member 21 made of electrically insulating material is provided with guide holes 22 and guide grooves 23 arranged in the lateral direction and mounting portion 24 integrally formed on both sides. When the restricting member 21 is mounted at a preset position, it is located between both connections 19 at the right and left sides. The guide holes 22 and the guide grooves 23 are arranged at laterally alternate positions corresponding to the given arrangement of the tale portion 18 of a contact 11 to match the given lateral arrangement pitch of the tale portion 18 and the given space of the tale portion 18 from a board 30 through the guide hole 22 and the guide groove 23.
