Device-closing mechanism for machine device, e. g. foil-welding equipment (2) with bearing (17) placed on the stand (16), with the help of which the closing unit (3) is placed on the stand (16) with possibility of movement between open initial position and closing position through the closing drive, with proviso that motor closing drive (13) has for a movement of the closing unit (3) through the closing drive closing driving moment, comprises control device for reseting the closing driving moment of the closing unit (3) and spring devices for weighing down the closing unit (3) in the initial position. As a result, risks of accidents can be avoided without special control means, because essentially only the relatively low motor-force energy has to be cancelled in order to stop the welding frame.
