PURPOSE:To obtain fibrous material with excellent water absorptive and drying performance in combination and has a composite-layer structure by arranging only thermally melt-stuck synthetic fiber to the lower layer part made of nonwoven fabric and mutually mixing both the thermally melt-stuck synthetic fiber and water absorptive fiber in a dispersed state to the upper layer part constituting said nonwoven fabric. CONSTITUTION:Nonwoven fabric 1 is formed by superposing a mixed web consisting of the mixture of both cotton of acrylic ester fiber 4 and cotton of thermally melt-stuck polyester fiber 5 on the upper layer side of the web of thermally melt-stuck polyester fiber 3 and thermally melt-sticking it. A hydrophobic layer 1a consisting of only the polyester fiber 3 is arranged to the lower layer part constituting the nonwoven fabric 1, while a water absorptive layer 1b incorporating this acrylic ester fiber 4 is arranged to the upper layer part constituting the nonwoven fabric 1. This acrylic ester fiber 4 is known as a fiber extremely excellent in water absorptive properties. This fiber maintains efficient water absorptive performance and also has drying property. |
