955,839. Fuel cells. VARTA A.G. Dec. 16, 1960 [Dec. 31, 1959], No. 43309/60. Drawings to Specification. Heading H1B. Fuel-cell electrodes are made by sintering a carbon/nickel mixture to provide an active carbon powder supported by a porous nickel skeleton. Up to 30% of carbon in particle size of less than 60 microns is preferred. A catalyst (Pd, Pd/Ag, Vn Mo Pt Pt/Rh) may be precipitated in the electrodes by chemical reductions, or by electrolysis, of a metal salt solution. |
