<p>PURPOSE:To crush a container to easily reduce its volume after content is taken out, by a method wherein the container has a cylindrical body with cover plates on top and bottom, and the body has a stretchable bellows-like construction. CONSTITUTION:Corrugation 5 is formed along the whole length of a body 2 of a can 1. To take out a tennis ball that is a content, a can opening hook 4 provided on a top cover 30 is pulled up to break the top cover along the circumference so that the top cover is removed and the tennis ball can be taken out. After that, the corrugation 5 is crushed by treading down the can 1 vertically to compress the can. The height of the compressed can 1 is about one-fifth of the original height of the can 1. Thereby, the body 2 can be crushed by simply treading it with the foot to reduce the bulk, so that the efficiency in recovery and transport of empty cans can be improved and the usability is high from the view point of resource recovery.</p> |
