METHOD OF GENERATING IMAGE WITH COMPUTER-AIDED TOMOGRAPH

PURPOSE: To remove the effects generated from undesirable radiation responses of detector by modifying the X-ray attenuation values from each detector by a method to specify a point to start the reconstruction process among a set of radiation attenuation values and to confine a group of radiation attenuation values to use in image reconstruction. CONSTITUTION: A single X-ray coming from an X-ray source and going through a straight line path which passes a patient placed in the opening is detected by each detector and collected as an analogue electric signal. This is a measured value of X-ray attenuation of a beam passing through the patient. The raw attenuation data converted to digital X-ray attenuation values and memorized are distorted due to a human effect by the residual light from response time delay of each detector. Thus, variation of the X-ray beam intensity is compensated using a formula.
