PURPOSE: To continuously provide fins to broaden heat exchanging face easily and at a low cost even through the width a miscellaneous shape base body is substantially greater than its height in a method and device to produce heat exchange elements. CONSTITUTION: In a method to produce heat exchange elements, a pipe-shaped base body is provided with ribs 2 to broaden a heat exchanging face at the surface. The ribs 2 are produced by removing sheet metal strips from a roll, being give folds or corrugated by a miscellaneous cross section forming device 3, connected to a miscellaneous shape base body 1 after being pressed to the surface of the miscellaneous shape base body in at least two or three contact potions and vertically attached to the miscellaneous shape base body 1 on the side opposing to each other. In a device to produce heat exchange elements, two pressing plates are arranged in a base plate provided with at least one vertical guide interior for the miscellaneous base body 1, and a welding device and drive device are arranged on the pressing plates. |
