FOOD BASE OF HIGH FIBER CONTENT

PURPOSE: To obtain a psyllium-contg. fiber-rich food base useful as a food assistant relieving constipation or as a food assistant reducing and maintaining one's weight. CONSTITUTION: This fiber-rich food base is a dry blended psyllium-contg. fiber- rich food base consisting of about 20-80 wt.% psyllium mucilloid and about 25-100 wt.% dietary fibers. The psyllium forms a part of the dietary fibers and dietary fibers made of a material other than psyllium account for at least 5 wt.% of all the fibers.
