<p>PURPOSE:To omit a fan for taking the air in a tunnel into a dust collecting chamber. CONSTITUTION:The upper part of the roadway space 1a of the motor way tunnel 1 is locally closed by a ceiling board 10 to form a sectionally reduced part. An air delivery port 6 of the dust collecting chamber 2 is opened in this part and an air suction port 5 is opened on the upstream side thereof. The wind velocity in the sectionally reduced part of the tunnel increases and the pressure falls below the pressure on the upstream side and, therefore, a pressure difference arises between the air suction port 5 and the air delivery port 6 and the contaminated air in the roadway space 1a is taken naturally into the dust collecting chamber 2 by this pressure difference, by which the need for the fan is eliminated.</p> |
