<p>PURPOSE:To obtain an apparatus for treating waste paper capable of making letters described in the waste paper undecipherable and reducing the volume of the waste paper. CONSTITUTION:The apparatus is obtained by installing a pair of belt conveyors 25 and 26 in a V-shaped form, providing shafts (25c) and (26c) rocking relatively to fixed shafts (25a) and (26a), combining leaf springs 27 with 28 arranged under belts (25e) and (26e) and simultaneously guiding the leaf springs so as to freely move in the vertical directions, applying twisting members 29 and 30 having a high friction coefficient to the top surfaces of the leaf springs 27 and 28 and installing springs 51 and 52 for urging the shafts (25c) and (26c) upward and a spring 56 for urging the leaf springs 27 and 28 upward.</p> |
