摘要 PURPOSE:To obtain a heat-sensitive recording material showing superior coloring sensitivity, high-speed recording performance and whiteness of the texture by adding 1,4-diethoxynaphthalene as an agent to improve the sensitivity into a heat-sensitive recording layer laminated on a supporting body and, providing an overcoating layer onto the heat-sensitive recording layer. CONSTITUTION:The heat-sensitive recording material has, on a supporting body, a heat-sensitive recording layer mainly composed of a leuco dye and a developer developing colors of the leuco dye when heated. In this case, 1,4- diethoxynaphthalene is added as an agent to improve the sensitivity into a heat-sensitive coloring layer. Moreover, an overcoating layer is arranged on the heat-sensitive recording layer. A layer mainly composed of spherical, hollow fine particles of a thermoplastic resin may be provided as an intermediate layer between the supporting body and the heat-sensitive recording layer. Accordingly, the obtained heat-sensitive recording material shows superior coloring sensitivity, good recording performance to be suitable to be used as a high-speed recording material and high whiteness of the texture.
