PURPOSE:To provide an engine mount capable of securing an optimum damping characteristic according to the driving condition or state of an engine being mounted CONSTITUTION:An engine mount 4 is set up in space between a car body 1 and an engine 10 and provided with a rubber elastic body 36 being elastically deformed by dint of an input vibration. A main liquid chamber 64 whose volume varies in response to deformation in the rubber elastic body 35, and a sub liquid chamber 65 whose volume varies in response to a volumetric variation in this main liquid chamber 64 are interconnected to each other by an orifice passage. An opening area of this orifice passage is controlled by a motor 59 driving a rotational member, and length of this orifice passage is controlled by a plate 53 making this orifice passage length variable, a bimetal 51 and a heater 52. With this constitution, a spring constant of the engine mount 4 is made variable, and thereby a damping factor is alterable in this way. If there is a temperature variation in sealed liquid, the bimetal 51 operates according to a temperature of this sealed liquid, whereby the orifice passage length is made variable, so that the damping factor of the engine mount 4 is automatically compensable in terms of viscosity. |
