PURPOSE:To facilitate storage and replacement of catalyst or adsorbent so as to recycle them by removably connecting an inlet section and an outlet section of a storage vessel to a barrel section in the storage vessel of catalyst or adsorbent which is provide in an exhaust passage of an engine. CONSTITUTION:A storage vessel 1 consists of an inlet section 8 in which exhaust flows, a barrel section 2 which stores catalyst or adsorbent 4, and an outlet section 9 through which exhaust flows out. The inlet section 8 is removably connected to the barrel section 2. At this time, a flange 3 of unfolded fan shape is used to connect it, and it is, for example, tightened by a bolt 13 via a gasket 12. Also, a guide member 11 which diffuses exhaust 7 which advances straight and makes it pass through catalyst or adsorbent 4 is provided at the inlet section 8. On the other hand, the outlet section 9 is connected to a pipe by a tapered flange 6. Consequently, the storage and replacement of catalyst or adsorbent 4 are facilitated, and the recovery of the storage vessel 1 from a disued car becomes possible to recycle catalyst or adsorbent 4. |
