<p>PURPOSE:To construct a recorder enabling execution of high-speed recording of high image quality and producing no ozone, by providing an image forming means which is prepared by providing a second electrode on a specific heating resistor layer prepared by providing a first light-transmitting electrode on a photosensitive layer. CONSTITUTION:An image forming roller 1 is constructed by laminating a transparent electrode layer 2, a photosensitive body layer 3, a heating resistor layer 4 of which the thermal diffusion rate in the direction intersecting the direction of thickness perpendicularly is 1.0X10<-6>m<2>/sec. or below and a surface electrode layer 5 from inside. On the occasion of forming an image, a light scan head 10 exposes a developed image forming roller 1 from the back in response to a recording signal at a point of contact with recording paper 11. The photosensitive body layer 3 exposed is put in continuity partially and a Joule heat is generated by an electric current in the heating resistor layer 4. The heat generated in the heating resistor layer 4 is propagated to a toner layer on the surface of the roller 1 from the surface electrode layer 5 and melts the toner in the pertinent part, and the molten toner is transferred onto and fixed on the recording paper 11. The toner which is not melted is made to return to a toner chamber 7 by a DC bias 13 and mixed with toner 8 not yet used.</p> |
