PURPOSE: To provide a double-seat valve manufacturable at a low cost having a structure in which the larger of valve members can safely withstand pressure attempting to open through a CIP cleansing liquid. CONSTITUTION: This double-seat valve has two valve members 20 and 22, which open and close one common conical valve seat 12, where a drain chamber 52 is formed between the two valve members 20 and 22, and an actuator unit 18 for fitting the valve members is structured so that a closing pressure acting on the wider valve member 22 increase automatically, when the narrower valve member 20 is lifted by itself. This allows the drain chamber 52 to be cleansed with a CIP liquid flowing in from valve chambers 8 and 10 without a risk that the CIP liquid is forcedly sent into a valve chamber 6 to work in combination with the wider valve member 22. This constitution does not require external supply pipings for the CIP liquid for cleansing. |
