PURPOSE:To enable efficient heating operation to be conducted by a method wherein the draining hole of a condensate pan and the draining hole of a base are connected through a U-shaped vertical trough raised up toward the upstream side of air flow. CONSTITUTION:A vertical draining trough 17b, formed so as to have a U-shape having a section raised up toward the upstream side of air flow from the vicinity of the draining hole of a condensate pan 15 to the vicinity of draining hole of a base 2, is so provided as to be connected to a pillar 17 for fixing fans 13 (13a, 13b), 14 (14a, 14b) or the base 3 of the condensate pan 15 directly. Water, produced by defrosting, from an upper stage heat exchanger 18 upon heating operation is discharged quickly into the draining hole the base 2 whereby freezing, due to long stagnation of the water in a lower heat exchanger 19, the adhesion of jumping water generated by the dropping of water produced by defrosting to the heat exchanger 19 and, further, the dispersion of the jumping water around the heat exchangers 18, 19 due to the air pressure generated by the fans 13, 14 can be prevented. |
