<p>The device measures the level of a liquid (particularly water) contained in a container 1. A vertical tube 2 made from electrically non-conducting material is connected to the container 1 and has two antennae 4, 5, one of which is internal 4 and belongs to a radio frequency transmitter (T) while the other 5 is external and belongs to the radio frequency receiver (R). When the level of the water in the tube 2 is measured and the geometrical dimensions of the container 1 are known, it is possible to calculate the quantity of water contained in the container 1. The primary application of the device is to domestic electrical appliances such as washing machines, humidifiers, dehumidifiers, driers, dishwashers, icemakers and the like. <IMAGE></p> |
