<p>PURPOSE:To stabilize a higher aliphatic sex pheromone compound having unsaturated double bond by adding a phenolic antioxidant and a specific benzotriazole compound to the pheromone compound. CONSTITUTION:A higher aliphatic sex pheromone compound having unsaturated double bond, e.g. E,E-10,12-dodecadienol, Z,E-9,12-tetradecadienyl acetate or Z-11-hexadecenal is incorporated with a compound of formula (R<1> is methyl, t-butyl or t-amyl; R<2> is OH, methyl or methoxy; R<3> and R<4> are H, t-butyl or t-amyl) and 2-(2'-hydroxy-3'-t-butyl-5'-methylphenyl)-5-chlorobenzotriazole in an amount of 0.01-20wt.% each based on the sex pheromone compound. The stabilization effect is remarkable on compounds containing >=2 unsaturated bonds and unsaturated aldehyde compounds.</p> |
