<p>PURPOSE:To make the profile and thickness of sheet on the outlet side of the final stand hit the target values with high accuracy without generating defects in shape of a strip by providing a thickness gage between stands. CONSTITUTION:In the installation arrangement of a hot strip finishing mill wich is constituted by successively providing a 1st stand F1 to a 7th stand F7, a sheet profile meter 20A is mounted between the 4th stand F4 and the 5th stand F5, a sheet profile meter 20B between the 5th stand F5 and the 6th stand F6 and also the thickness gage 24A between the 6th stand F6 and the 7th stand F7. Based on a measurement result with the sheet profile meter 20A, the profile of sheet is controlled by executing feedback control to each stand on the upstream side and feedforward control to the stands F5-F7 on the downstream side and, simultaneously, the thickness is controlled at each stand by using thicknesses measured with the sheet profile meters 20A, 20B and the thickness gage 24A.</p> |
